Surprisingly I later followed my time in the Navy with a stint in the Army (RASIGS), then a career?? in the public service. Now 20+ years later and looking back at my time in boats, I can say that it was a period of my life that seems to hold the strongest memories for me, both good and bad. |

I only served a short time in the Squadron, but its something I could never forget nor want to. Part 3 on Otway and went over to the west on Orion to get qualified and that's when I found out the meaning to life. At the end of a day when you needed your buddies they where always there besides where could they go its a bit hard to hide on the old tin cans. But at home they were and a home they will always remain. If anyone from the old crew I served with would like to contact me please feel free or anyone else.

Served in boats from 86 to 2000, when I thought I would try the other side and gives skimmers a go. Got my buttons while serving on Hobart (one plus I guess). My time in boats is with out doubt the highlight of my career, and after 21 years in the mob, I always remember the people and the level of professionalism that I am still to find in the fleet. When talking with other submariners, one can't help getting that homesick feeling.
