The Association

Why Join the SAA?

The Association's aims and goals are:
•To keep alive the unique "esprit de corps" of the Submarine Service;
•To establish and maintain a charitable trust, being a welfare foundation;
•To assist one another as occasion may require and to encourage social activities;
•To liaise with kindred organisations, both nationally and internationally; and,
•To educate members about their entitlements and provide access to Department of Veterans' Affairs advocates

Have you ever qualified as a submariner by being awarded your dolphins in the Royal Australian Navy or any other navy. If so we would love to welcome you as a Full Member of the Submarines Association Australia.

If you are the partner of a past or present submariner, have served in any support role at HMAS Platypus or Fleet Base West or contributed to the advancement of submarines in any way, we would love to welcome you as an Associate Memberof the Submarines Association Australia.

If you have an interest in the submarine community, are friends of submariners, past or present and are interested in the goals and aspirations of the Association, we would love to welcome you as a Social Member of the Submarines Association Australia.

Subscriptions

The joining fee and annual subscription shall be such as the Association in General Meeting may from time to time prescribe, but until the Association determines otherwise shall be:
