SUBCON is being held near to the centre of Melbourne, giving all attendees the maximum opportunity to find things of interest close at hand and enjoy the many attractions Melbourne has to offer.

For convenience accommodation and events should be under ‘one roof’ to give attendees maximum time together to socialise as much as possible.  This resulted in the Crown Casino being selected as it offered subsidies and sponsorship to provide the most attractive package, with accommodation at the 4.5 star Promenade Hotel right in the heart of the complex.

The SUBCON 2011 rate of $220 per night for a Superior Room (normally $265) and a breakfast deal of $20 per person (normally $20 – fill your boots, buffet).  The SUBCON rates are applicable from the Wednesday prior to SUBCON 2011 to the Wednesday following SUBCON 2011.

The hotel has fine restaurants, cafes, takeaways, bars, cinemas, shops, big screen TV, and of course the gambling tables and pokies. The hotel, the staff and the service are all 5 star. And the rest is right on the doorstep.

Arrangements have also been made with Travelodge Southbank Melbourne, 9 Riverside Quay, Southbank VIC 3006.  They are offering 50 rooms** and the rate is:

• Standard Queen Room @ $145.00 Room only

• Breakfast at the discount rate of $14.50 per person.

** The guest must quote the group reference number # 7521055 for SUBCON 2011.
Cancellation policy for the group is 30 days prior to the arrival date without any penalty. Cancellations after this time will incur a whole night accommodation.
A credit card required to secure the booking until arrival.

For those wishing to make alternate arrangements the venue is near enough to alternative accommodation to provide a selection to suit individual choice and budget.
