Happy Christmas NSW SAA Members and Families

The NSW committee would like to thank you for your support in 2017. It has been another good year with meetings in City Sydney RSL, South Hurstville and Gosford following another successful Christmas Party. Spectacle Island continues to be a highlight with members and friends where the Heritage Collection continues to amaze us.
The major highlight though was the very successful Platypus 50th Anniversary ceremony and the Dedication of the Memorial to our three colleagues lost at sea in tragic accidents. We must thank the SIA for their organisation of the event plus many thanks to those who donated to the memorial.
2018 brings its challenges for NSW as we are organising SUBCON 2018 in Newcastle over the June Long Weekend. The organising committee is headed by Gary Payseno and includes a few of our widows and we thank them for their contribution. We look forward to seeing you there. Platypus should also be open to the public mid-2018 and we continue to be involved with the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust in its interpretation and history for all to see.
On a sad note though is the passing of members and the loss of the San Juan. May they rest in peace.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and the best for the New Year.
